There is something about halfway that is rejuvenating.
In any journey, the sense of being closer to the end than the beginning is important, especially so when the trip is considered hard-work.
Even when you took on something difficult for the sake of goodness – a long hike, a 10-day fast, jumping rope to raise money, or long road trip – there is a fine line between expending ourselves for the joy of it, and the weight of exhausting our enthusiasm. There is always the delicate balance between good energy and bad energy.
This Ready to be Thirsty Challenge is no exception.
We took this on because we wanted to know something about ourselves. We wanted that insight. We wanted to know if we could do it [or, if we couldn’t – then why not?].
From the blurry vision of an epic buzz to the vision quest of 28 alcohol-free days – in this effort, as any other….there will be a tipping point, some kind of horizon that we’ll walk past, on February 28th.
If you are doing this challenge, you can bet your bottom dollar that eventually you’ll get what you came for. Because if you think hard about anything you ever tried that was tough, you’ll recall how you felt when you got it done.
