We had an idea and we called it Thirst.
This idea represents much more than a dry mouth.
Thirst is a collection of thoughts and feelings around alcohol – a big concept. Second, it’s a destination – a launching pad for discussion. Therefore we built some webpages and collated some links around the best places to talk about booze on the ‘Net. And we put it all together in a way that will hopefully entice you to have a look around, get thinking, and even have your say.
Let’s face it – alcohol is everywhere in our society. Weddings, parties, golf tournaments, camping trips, fishing excursions and hunting trips, poker games, family reunions, sporting events, barbeques – it’s at most happenings you can name.
And it’s advertised all over the place – television, internet, billboards, bus stops.
Maybe we never stopped to ask ourselves –do we want this much beer, whiskey and wine on every corner? Does alcohol – or the representations of it – truly belong everywhere?
What is all this exposure doing to us? Our health? Our kids? Our society? Thirst dares to ask these questions, and, it dares you to reflect on how alcohol connects to your own life, or those you know.
