Duct tape has found another use – to forcibly restrain out of control passengers.
This story is the latest in a string of incidents over the last few years. The situations and characters may be different, but they all have one common element – alcohol. Too much of it, to be exact.
The passengers on this flight from Iceland to New York were trapped with an aggressive drunken person for several hours. I’m not sure at what point the other passengers feared for their lives. It could have been when the drunken man ranted that the plane was going to crash. Or maybe when he tried to strangle the woman beside him?
The amount of alcohol this man consumed was obviously a factor in this situation. Do you think alcohol should be offered on flights at all? Should it be limited? And what about the other passengers – were they justified in what they did?
