I wouldn’t say that I’m actually afraid of flying, but it’s not totally in my comfort zone, if you know what I mean. I know that the crew is highly experienced and I am literally putting my life in their capable hands when I am in the air. I’ve always had good flights, but then I read a story like this one from CTV.
How could the airline allow this drunk passenger on board? Was he intoxicated prior to getting on the plane or did he consume enough alcohol during the flight to cause this much danger to every single person on the plane? Are you getting a sense of de ja vu yet? If so, you’re probably thinking about the RIM employees last year?
I can’t even imagine how frightened the crew and passengers were. What safeguards are in place for a situation like this and what are the consequences to prevent it from ever happening again? Handcuffs and duct tape anyone?
