Oh those lazy, hazy days of summer…

Toronto SunSummer time and a social drink seem to go hand in hand.  You know … those backyard barbeques, sidewalk patios, beer on the pier or just kicking back at the cottage with family and friends.  While having a social drink with friends is an enjoyable activity for most of us, there are some who graduate from moderate drinking to problem drinking, as this recent article points out. Many people in this situation recognize they have an issue, but it’s not something that’s openly discussed. So go ahead and get together with family and friends, kick back and enjoy a drink, but keep some alcohol-free cold ones available for those who have to make more of an effort to keep their drinking in check. They’ll appreciate it.
