Why are people so sceptical when they read about health research? I was looking at responses to the release of a recent study in the British Medical Journal citing increased risk of cancer for people with habits of more than low levels of drinking and was surprised to see people stuck on the numbers. Does it really matter how much your risk is increased? Risk is risk. It’s not meant to frighten us but enlighten us…low-risk drinking is one of the things we can do to stay healthy. It’s that simple.
